Roman Mittermayr, owner of the Naked IT blog and creator of WhatIsThatFile.com, has developed yet another valuable program – a Digg.com screensaver. Get rid of that aquarium, dump those 3D Boxes, and remove your Playboy screensaver, they’ve become obsolete. HotDigg displays the latest headlines from the incredibly popular news site – Digg. In fact you can even run this app as a standalone version, so there is no need to wait for the screensaver.
Unfortunately it doesn’t support widescreen monitors at the moment but Roman says he’s working on an updated version:
“I only have a 1024 monitor and found it fair enough for my case 🙂 I am working on an updated version soon, so expect some support for large screens then!”
He also states that HotDigg v1.00 is only a ?first test? of what it may look like, and there are plenty of things on the list now for the next version.
Currently HotDigg only supports windows, so Mac/Linux users will have to wait I’m afraid.
