I’ve seen, heard and played with dozens of iPod speakers but this is something different. It’s stunning looks are unrivaled among it’s competitors. The horizontal level optimization, or Halo acoustics, design provides a full, rich sound field from any direction.
The large backlit LCD display is easy to read and the lighted buttons are easy to find in the dark. There’s also a dome light which gives the iPod a mesmerizing glow. All the LEDs are dimmed automatically via a light sensor, which gives the JBL On Time the perfect brightness level in any environment.
Unlike the Bose SoundDock or the Altec Lansing’s inMotion iM7, the JBL On Time is not simple an iPod speaker: It also features an AM/FM Radio with 5 channel presets and a fully-featured alarm clock which is easily programmed with it’s intuitive user interface.
