…Hold on a second don’t go just yet. If you’re thinking to yourself *I’m finally gonna be rich hahaha* – you’re wrong (usually :)) The list of keywords I’ve provided you plays a very small part. The things that really matter are

Traffic, and I’m not talking about the page impressions you get from 4daily & similar autosurf programs; I’m talking about real visitors. You want people that are actually interested in what you have to offer and will visit regularly.

Content, is the most important factor. If you have good content (whether it be funny, intruiging, interesting, useful,etc) people will come back. Another good method of making people return is forums/blogs. Forums are one of the easiest ways of making people stick to your site. However getting a good community going may not be easy but once you do it is most rewarding.

Ad Placement . Where the ads are placed can make a huge difference to your earnings. Certain locations tend to be more successful than others. However the ideal position may vary from site to site. The best thing is to simply experiment and see what works best for you.

(The colours fade from dark orange (strongest performance) to light yellow (weakest performance). All other things being equal, ad placements above the fold tend to perform better than those below the fold. Ads placed near rich content and navigational aids usually do well because users are focused on those areas of a page.)

Ad format/colours – Positioning, although important, isn’t everything. Depending on the site, blending colours or contrasting colours can also make a significant impact on your earnings.

Once you’re confident of the above then it may be worth it to consider basing your content on high paying keywords.
