Flock is a free, open source web browser, built upon on the Mozilla codebase. It is lightweight and superbly elegant. Flock also offers full integration with sites like Flickr and del.icio.us. And not just a bookmark bar button that adds links to your del.icio.us homepage, but a button in the toolbar which adds the current site you’re browsing to your shared favorites.
Also integrated directly into the toolbar (in the form of a quill-pen-looking button) is a blog publisher. If you blog with WordPress, Movable Type, Typepad, or Blogger, you can enter your account info for your blog, then publish entries on the fly with Flock’s built-in blog editor.
So, if you live your life on the Web, Flock has a bunch of tools that will facilitate your daily tasks. Also, the development team promises that integration with even more services is on the way.
Other cool features: Built-in history and favorites search, multiple favorites toolbars, advanced RSS feed caching and aggregation, custom search management, and “The Shelf”, a place to store content that you want to blog about later in the day.
Flock is currently available only as a developer preview. This means that you can try it out but it’s not quite ready to become your everyday browser.
